Your next project is waiting. Let's make sure your body is ready for it.
Fingers, elbow, shoulder or knees: I assess your complaints online, build your rehab programme and guide you back to the rock.
From Fontainebleau to the Red River Gorge to Kalymnos.
Fingers & pulleys
Elbow Shoulder Knee & Hip
Back & Neck Training & Prevention | A tweak after crimping or pain after a hard move? We work out how much load you can take and rebuild your fingers step by step. Pain on the inside or outside of the elbow that comes with every pull? It's often overuse, and that can be treated in a targeted way. Trouble on overhangs, gastons or long reaches? We work on strength, control and mobility. Heel hooks, drop knees and high steps put demands on knees and hips. We find out where the pain comes from. Long belay days, approaches with a heavy pack and nights in the van leave their mark. Want to be more resilient before your climbing trip, or build up your hangboard training safely? |
How it works
- Video session: We talk through your complaints, look at movement and load, and check whether you need a medical assessment first.
- Your programme in the app: You get exercises with videos, available offline, and a clear plan for what you can and can't do on the rock.
- Support until your comeback: Short follow-up sessions, or video analysis by upload when the signal at the crag is weak. We increase the load step by step.
When to see a doctor first
Online physiotherapy is not a substitute for emergency care. Please get a medical assessment first if:
- you felt or heard a pop during a move and the finger is very painful or swollen
- the flexor tendon visibly lifts away from the bone (bowstringing)
- you have severe pain, a deformity or numbness after a fall
- a joint feels unstable or can no longer be moved
After that, I'm happy to guide you through rehab, may it be on or off the wall.
About me
I'm Laura, a physiotherapist with an M.Sc. from ETH Zurich. I work in Paralympic sport with athletes who push their bodies to the limit every day, so I know how important it is to manage load wisely rather than simply stopping.
I've been climbing for about ten years, and it's where most of my free time goes. I've had my own share of overuse injuries: when I wanted to push harder, I didn't listen to my body, and my shoulders paid the price. I learned from it and rehabbed successfully. Today I climb healthy again and can push my limits without overloading my joints and tendons.
Because I travel a lot, I know the problem: your complaints travel with you, your physio appointment doesn't. That's exactly what PhysiOnTour is for. On the wall or off it, PhysiOnTour gives you the right exercises and the right amount of load to keep you climbing strong and healthy for years to come.
